Vaasan Voima has joined the Energy Efficiency Agreement for the period 2026–2035. Through this agreement, Vaasan Voima commits to improving the energy efficiency of its operations by the end of 2035.
The expanded thermal energy storage will enable the storage and delivery of non-combustion-based energy even during the coldest winter months. Commercial production of the thermal storage will begin in early 2026.
Zero deviations and only five observations underline Vaasan Voima’s nearly perfect audit result. Vaasan Voima received praise in the external audit for, among other things, considering energy efficiency in production development.
